100 The Listener’s Episode

by reeger on March 22, 2019

EPISODE 100! In 2013 when I launched the Weight Loss Surgery Podcast if you had asked me how many episodes I hope to publish I may have dared to say 20. In this episode I want to take a look back over some highlights between episodes 01 and 100. To help me do this I have asked my listeners to contribute their thoughts and feelings about episodes that have helped them along their Bari Great Journey as well as tips they have to stay healthy and on track. Throughout this episode you will hear listener’s contributions woven throughout my own memories, thoughts, and feelings. Thank you for coming along with me. You are the reason I do this.

I didn’t have the surgery. But I was fat from birth:

I have long been a fat activist. And I do oppose diets. They made me fatter, every time. If I hadn’t stopped dieting I would have undoubtedly become far larger than my peak of 270 at 5’ 10 1/2”.
Many activists virulently oppose the surgery and regard it as “stomach amputation”. But I have friends who, confronted by co-morbidities, chose the sleeve route. And their choice was their own, and sacred.
I never intended to lose weight. It just happened. I never feel deprived, but my daily intake is similar to those who *did* have the surgery.
So, thanks for your role in providing Comfort. I don’t do podcasts, but I do radio every month. Here is one such:

I love and support everyone who cares.
